Hampshire

Moyles Court School is to be found in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The school sits within the National Park of The New Forest. Woodland streams, lakes, roaming ponies and cows are all to be found on the school’s “doorstep”.

Broadway Education

Broadway Education is the holding company that owns the following schools: Talbot House in Bournemouth, Moyles Court School in Hampshire , St. Michael’s School in South Wales and Bosworth Independent College in Northampton.

Broadway Education is a family run business owned by the Broadway Family. The owners pictured above are Mark and Jo Broadway with their children. Their group of schools all hold the core values of academic excellence balanced by a friendly, supportive and caring ethos.

Mark began his career as a Physics teacher in London and was Headteacher by his late twenties. With an interest and flair in school management, Mark developed and substantially grew the three schools in the Broadway portfolio, making each academically successful whilst retaining the unique identity of each school. Living in Lymington with his wife and four children, Mark is delighted to have the opportunity to share his experience and group stability with Moyles Court, ensuring its longevity and continued success.

Jo originally trained as a Radiographer and has worked in the NHS for over 20 years. In 1998 Mark and Jo jointly acquired Talbot House Preparatory School in Bournemouth. Jo provided valuable support to Mark in the early days, in her role as Bursar, in addition to raising a family of four. In more recent years and as the group has grown, she has once again bought her management and people skills to the Education Group, particularly within the fields of marketing and property development.

Mike McQuin, BEd, MEd, Group Executive Director
Formerly Principal at Bosworth Independent College moving onto Executive Principal at Bosworth, St. Michael’s and Talbot House. For those of you who have met and worked with Michael McQuin over the years, you will be pleased to know that he has taken the role of Group Executive Director of Broadway Education and will continue to support the vision and ethos of each school.

With 40 years of experience in Education Mike has also been the Head of three schools, a school inspector for international schools, the Chair of the Council for Independent Education, and sat as a Director on the Board of the British Council’s education arm, Education UK. Mike’s role is to ensure the effective and efficient running of the Group’s schools.

Prior to joining the Broadway Education Group, Paul held senior finance roles at Merlin Entertainments Limited, HSBC bank, Lloyds TSB Group, Lynx plc and the Serious Fraud Office after training and qualifying with ToucheRoss and Co chartered accountants in London. He joined the group to address his work life balance, allowing him to be based at home to enjoy his daughters growing up. His eldest daughter, who attended Talbot House and then both Bournemouth grammar schools, has followed in his footsteps and gained a place at Cambridge.
